Overview

RC Classic is BCIT's annual RC model competition. Our team designed and built a car on a 3D printed base with a belt drive, and finished it with a Ford Mustang body shell. We competed in several events, including sumo and a drag race.

Working as a Team

We built the car as a group while keeping up with a full course load, so the timeline was tight. We had to coordinate around our class schedules to get the build finished and tested in time for competition day.

My Role

I was responsible for sourcing parts and making sure they were compatible with each other. With a short timeline, getting the right parts the first time mattered: everything had to work together and fit the 3D printed chassis.

Results

We won 1st place in sumo and 3rd place in the drag race.
